You cannot take your practical test in a left-hand drive vehicle, any panel van, most convertibles or Toyota iQ. All vehicles must be in a roadworthy condition and light motorcycles and mopeds must have a valid Periodic Technical Inspection, otherwise you will not be able to take your test and the test fee will be lost. It is your responsibility to ensure the vehicle has valid insurance in place and is displaying a valid Window Insurance Disc (WID). You are required by law to show your provisional driving licence, theory pass certificate and CBT certificate (category A, A1 or P only). Interpreters or language services are not permitted during the test, but English voice over is available. You should bring your provisional driving licence with you, however if you arrive without it, please speak to the invigilator. Re-bookings can be made after a failed attempt, however a further test cannot be taken for the same category until 7 days have elapsed. You will not be able to take your test with invalid documents and the test fee will be lost. All documents must be originals, copies or photos are not accepted. Late arrivals will not be able to take their test and the test fee will be lost. Arrive at DVS 15 minutes before your appointment.
